This exhibit shows the evolution that my work has taken over the past few years from simple wood and linocuts to collagraphs and eventually into what I call “collagraph collages”. The subjects in these prints are flowers from my garden, trees from my yard and abstract views of the scenery that surrounds me and has inspired me over the years.

Exhibit: March 29 - May 01, 2011
In “The Last Time I Saw That Boy” Snodgrass takes a reflective and introspective look through his own past and in turn shows us a half remembered dream of our own creation. Through this muddled gazing-ball, we see images struck to the canvas with an intensity that arouses a nostalgic pity and an inkling of fear.

We have all heard that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But what influences our perceptions of beauty? Why are some things universally appealing to All or most of us? A sunset. What contributes to that appraisal? How are we swayed or persuaded, or are our conclusions beyond conscious decision making capabilities? Do we love something more, when it makes us happy? And is it therefore more beautiful to us? And who, in the history of the world, defined “Beautiful”?
